Honourable Minister for Human Resource Development with the Government of India, Smriti Irani will be addressing Technopark on “Techies for a Better INDIA”.

Please don’t miss the opportunity to witness her magnificent oratory skills at display which has inspired millions of Indian youth and sharp facts which has made a lot of her naysayers fumble for words. Smriti Irani from her humble beginnings had rose to the rank of a Cabinet Minister only through sheer will power and unique leadership skills. Her fact-filled speeches had earned respect from many widely-acclaimed intellectuals within the political as well as social factions.

There couldn’t be a better leader who could honour us ‘the youth of Technopark – Thiruvananthapuram’ as part of the continued ‘National Youth Day celebrations’ from January 12, 2016, the National Youth Day. Ever since, 1985, the birthday of Swami Vivekananda is celebrated as the National Youth Day by the Government of India. On behalf of Vivekananda Study Circle – Technopark we are proud to have an opportunity to be addressed by the HRD minister herself.

Don’t miss the opportunity to listen to the epitome example of Youth empowerment in India, the youngest member of the Cabinet, Honourable Minister for HRD, Smriti Irani on January 14, 2016 at our very own Bhavani Atrium, Technopark between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM on “Techies for a Better INDIA”.

Vishuthaineettam

Published by:

We are glad to inform you that Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC – a voluntary group of professionals in Technopark) is organizing ‘Vishuthaineettam’, a novel initiative to help the techies regain the lost connectivity with nature. VSC volunteers are gearing up to welcome this year’s Vishu by providing a sapling to the employees of Technopark. The idea is to keep the sapling as a Vrukshakkani and Vishuthaineettam to augment the traditional Vishukkani and Vishukkaineettam and thereby foster the love for nature in the hearts of younger generations.

We are planning to conduct an inaugural function on 8th April 2015 at 6 PM in Travancore Hall, Technopark, followed by a 2 day stall, from where the saplings will be distributed. As per the current plan, we are targeting to distribute a minimum of 2000 saplings to the techies. Well known environmentalist Padmashri Smt. Sugathakumari teacher has agreed to be our chief guest for the inaugural function and deliver the key note speech.

On behalf of the Vivekananda Study Circle, we request you to grace the occasion by your presence and be a part of the initiative.

Walk of Hope begins today

Published by:

Walk of Hope begins today….

Walk of Hope is a padayatra for peace and harmony by the Manav Ekta Mission – covering 6500 kms from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Led by Sri M, founder of Manav Ekta Mission, the journey spans 15-18 months through 11 Indian states, bringing together citizens from all walks of life. Traversing the varied landscape of India, it seeks a significantly restored nation—fit enough to be bequeathed to our future generations.

The Walk of Hope will flag off on 12 January 2015, the birth anniversary of a great prophet of interfaith harmony, Swami Vivekananda. Starting from the Gandhi Memorial Mandapam in Kanyakumari and concluding in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, this initiative will reach out to 10 million fellow Indians.

The padayatra will cover 15-20 kms a day and halt in the evening at a pre-determined village or town enroute. The evening will be spent meeting with the local populace – which will include meaningful dialogues, inter-faith prayers, eating together and, finally, resting overnight at their homes. A diverse assembly of responsible citizens, who foresee a united and inclusive India for themselves and the future generations, will accompany Sri M in this walk.

The Walk of Hope is an exercise to restore the innate spirituality of the nation – rekindling true faith and rejuvenating the spirit of hope, love, peace, harmony and oneness. The hope is to erase disparities arising from a misunderstanding of our diverse culture and religions, thus uniting the humanity of India through a spiritual approach proving people can live together despite all differences. You can join or step out at any place or time as you wish, during the walk.
